About Prof. Prem Chandrani

Prof Prem Chandrani (ACA (India), FICWA (India), ACMA(UK), CISA (USA), CIA (USA), MBA (London Business School, UK, and Wharton, USA) is a professor at the S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research. He has over 50 years of experience as an industry leader, consultant, and academician. He is a brilliant scholar with significant academic achievements. His areas of interest include Business Strategy, Financial & Management Accounting and Corporate Finance.

He is an advisor to the Board of several Business Schools – Audencia Business School in France; the Management Faculty at the University of Warsaw, Poland. He is a global assessor of business schools as a member of the Peer Review Team of AMBA.

He is a much sought-after professor and teaches across the globe at several top business schools, including Michigan State University, USA; Schulich Business School, York University, Canada, and several schools in France, Germany, Poland, Dubai, Singapore, and Australia.

As a teacher, he has won several accolades in India and overseas. The more recent ones are Best Business School Professor from the University of Warsaw in 2018 and 2019; and the National award for Best Educator by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 2020.

He is a member of the Director’s Club in India and teaches Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Financial Management and Business Strategy to Independent Directors on Boards of companies in India.

He is on the Board of Directors of Mukand Ltd, a Bajaj Group company.

He is a consultant for several large companies in India and overseas. He conducts development programs for top management of companies.. Some of the MDP clients include Saint Gobain, PwC, L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra, LTIMindtree, and similar organizations. He has been a coach to many CEOs of large companies.

In addition to being an academic, Prof. Chandrani has over 30 years’ experience across several industries such as hospitality, manufacturing, strategy consulting, shipping, and IT. He has held C-Level positions in several leading companies across the globe. His global work experience spans several continents as he has worked in the USA, Canada, UK, UAE, Japan, and India. Among others, he was Director of the Strategy Consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
