The Excursion

The Executive Development Programme headed by the Strategists team is an intensive action learning programme designed to develop leaders from across the transport sector in South Africa. This prestigious programme exposes recognised, high-potential leaders to best practices. Delegates came from a number of different companies in South Africa and have been earmarked for senior executive roles. The programme is a critical enabler of this next transition through the exposure of these individuals to the globalised market. As part of their programme, delegates travelled to Dublin from the 21st to the 25th of February 2022.

The value experienced within the immersion was as follows:

• Engagements with leaders, from South African companies, who have a particular interest in looking at partnerships, trade and investment opportunities with Irish companies in this space
• Deepening the connections with leading companies in South Africa
• Potential future business opportunities
• Future sharing of insights both ways

What Happened During The Immersion?
A full program was drafted for the time in which the group spent in Ireland and included items such as:

• Keynote speaking
• Interactions with industry leaders
• Provocation sessions
• Tours of the geography of the land
• Leisure activities

 The TETA members were exposed to multiple industry leaders and management professionals within their respective industries. Through intimate conversations and engagement, the attendees received full exposure to the Irish Transport industry and were not only able to view, first-hand, the inner workings and expertise of these individuals, but were also given the opportunity to network amongst themselves throughout the entirety of the excursion.

Through clever planning and engagement with role-players in the transport industry of Ireland, it is safe to say that every attendee left with an experience to remember not only in a leisurely manner, but in an applicable one as well.
