About Dr. Mélani Prinsloo
Dr. Mélani Prinsloo is a founding member of Infusion, where she undertakes the strategic leadership of the organisation. Infusion positioned itself as a significant and unique research entity – doing bespoke context-relevant research as well as operating community-based research and business platform focussing on unevenly-developed communities.
Infusion’s clients include Sibanye-Stillwater, Shoprite, Potatoes SA, FairPlay, Financial Services Board, Standard Bank, FNB, Sanlam, Momentum, Department of Basic Education, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Health, Finmark Trust, Vodacom, Microsoft, MultiChoice, SAP and more. With her experience in both private and the public sector Mélanie is able to capitalise on her experience in varying industries and approaches towards business strategy.
Over the last year, Mélani has also been part of the tech start-team of Helium – a company focusing on the challenges of revenue and business assurance. Helium is currently in the final development stage of ground-breaking revenue assurance tools, showcasing Mélani’s experiences and expertise in dealing with innovative business strategies from the ground up.
Mélani holds a B.Com (cum laude), B.Com Honours and M.Com (cum laude) in Marketing from the University of Pretoria and a Ph.D. from Lulea University of Technology in Sweden.
A former academic, Mélani started her career at the University of Pretoria’s Marketing and Communication Management Department. As an international lecturer, Mélani teaches various courses at various institutions in South Africa and abroad.
Mélani has presented at various national and international conferences on a variety of topics since 1996, and also has a series of publications in accredited journals and authored a book.
